Roots of understanding grow deep when curious minds are nourished in nature.
— Nell Regan K.

As an yoga teacher and trainer of yoga teachers, I am often asked by friends, family, and parents, why I have chose to work with children and train others to work with children.

I love it! There are thousands of reasons why I think helping children and their families is the best job in the world, but I will focus on my top four.

1. Working with kids is fun!

I love that no single day at with children is the same! Children come to yoga for many different reasons. Even though sometimes the underlying reasons are similar, the approach for each child is can be different. We focus on the child’s strengths, age, personality, what they like to do/play, and so on.

2. We learn from the children we work with!

Admiring children’s:

  • Endless energy

  • Honesty

  • Creativity

  • Flexibility

  • Resilience

3. Children motivate me to be a better person.

Children make me a more knowledgeable person: Children are, by nature, very curious. With all the questions they ask, I constantly find myself looking for answers in books and on the internet.

Children make me a well-informed person: As kids often expect for me to know exactly what they are talking about, I also have to keep up-to-date on current affairs, as well as on the latest video games, cartoons, and coolest apps for iPads and phones and places to find new music.

Children make me a healthier person: I am a firm believer of leading by example, therefore I follow a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy foods and keeping active (which comes in very handy when I need to keep up with them!).

4. Helping children (and their families) is the most rewarding job I can think of!

After time working with children or training yoga teachers to work with children I often think of the wonderful children that have graced my practice. I think about the progress they made, how I might help them further, and I hope that when they leave my class, they feel better, stronger, empowered, and happier.

Knowing that my work is to train teachers to help kids explore their full potential and to help them feel happier and better about themselves, brings a huge smile to my face and a deep sense of right livelihood!

Become a Kids Yoga Teacher and connect with a group of teachers who support and uplift each other!

You are in the right place if you want:

  • Interactive Training that You Can Complete at Your Own Pace: You’ll learn from our past training, where you’ll hear people ask questions and have conversations to get an interactive training experience so you’ll know exactly how to teach kids Yoga, Meditation and Mindfulness. You’ll know how to start the class, finish the class, and everything in between so you can teach for years without running out of ideas. We hold nothing back!

  • Experience: You’ll get experience during the training observing and teaching actual children in the practicum. You’ll also learn from others who have taught the same classes. You’ll feel more confident to teach after the training because you will teach kids as part of the training. We think this confidence will help you achieve your teaching goals faster.

  • Comprehensive Manuals and Printables: You’ll receive comprehensive manuals in PDF format. They document all the activities you learn in the training so you can refer to them for years to come, for games, songs, and insights into teaching. You’ll also get PDF’s of the activity pages to print out for the kids you teach.

  • Certificate of Completion: You’re awarded a Certificate for each module you complete that also counts towards your 100 Hour Certificate from our Canadian Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School.

  • Ongoing support and mentoring before and after: You have the option to stay connected when you want, with our Slack group, Facebook group, or you can email or call and talk to a teacher about questions you have before or after you graduate.

Want to stay connected with your fellow kids yoga teachers from your training and your trainer?  We have an exclusive Slack space community where you can continue to connect with us, fellow teachers and teachers in training

If its time for you to achieve your goals of teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to children in the classroom, living room, or as a part-time or full-time career, ACW can give you the skill and Certification you need.

The ACW-Yoga Teacher Training program gives you experience and confidence with each module, so you can go out and teach even after one module. One graduate told us:

I have earned back more than the tuition!

“After taking only one of the modules, I felt confident enough to approach schools to start teaching. I was teaching children after only one weekend of training. Eight months later, by my last module of training, I have taught over 100 kids yoga classes in daycare centres and have been paid for my teaching. I have already earned back more the tuition for the Certification.”
